Sustainable Development Goals Centre
Samarkand has been a city of learning for six centuries. At its institute today, sustainable development is not a lecture topic but daily work: research, teaching and partnership with the city.
Who we are. The SDG Centre of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service: management, specialists and six researchers.
What we do. We link every news story and project to one of the 17 UN goals, run the institute's sustainability policy and publish the results openly.

The Ulugh Beg Madrasah was built on the Registan in 1417–1420 and was the university of its age, teaching astronomy, mathematics and philosophy. We carry that tradition on: knowledge should make the city and the world better.
