Digital Uzbekistan 2030: Transforming Education

Our country is rapidly digitizing public administration, economic sectors, and social services. In accordance with the recently adopted “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, our country attaches great importance to the integration of digital education and the development of digital skills at all stages of education.

In this regard, the seminar “Digitalization of Higher Education and Increasing the Competitiveness of Higher Education Institutions” being held at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service is very relevant and is aimed at supporting the activities of universities in modernizing the higher education system in Uzbekistan.

By digitizing all activities, Uzbek universities will be able to meet the requirements of the Bologna Process, which recognizes the potential of digital technologies to improve the teaching and learning experience, attract students, and provide more opportunities, while also increasing competitiveness in the higher education environment and achieving flexibility within higher education.

In addition, during the Erasmus+ Technical Assistance Mission seminar, a report by Ebba Ossiannilsson, an international expert from the Swedish Distance Education Association, provided important insights into the digital university, the "digital landscape" of higher education, effective project management skills, and the development of strategic thinking and research skills.
