On September 18 of this year, a delegation from the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service held an official meeting with representatives of Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University.
 During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues related to expanding cooperation in the educational and scientific spheres, implementing joint projects and grants, and training highly qualified specialists in the field of tourism.
 Both sides emphasized the importance of implementing initiatives aimed at promoting the economic development of higher education institutions. Considering the significant tourism potential of Samarkand and Batumi, special attention was paid to launching joint initiatives in this area.
 It was also noted that future cooperation should include the exchange of professors, teachers, and students, joint scientific research, and collaboration to improve positions in international rankings. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
