Maxmudova Muxabbat Orziyevna Turns 80!
RESPECT FOR A DEVOTED TEACHER
If a person leaves a mark on life, then even upon reaching the age of eighty, the spirit and vigor of youth remain with them.
Maxmudova Muxabbat Orziyevna was born on April 3, 1946, in the family of Orzi Maxmudov. Her father, Orzi Maxmudov, served first as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Paxtakor and Qarshi districts of the Samarkand region, and later as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Samarkand region.
M. Maxmudova graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Samarkand State University in 1968, and in the same year began her pedagogical career as a German language teacher at the Department of Foreign Languages of Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute.
From 1972 until 2014, M. Maxmudova worked at the Department of Languages of the Samarkand Cooperative Institute (now the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service). Throughout her career, she carried out scientific-methodological and research work in the foreign language disciplines, particularly German, in collaboration with a number of the department's leading professors and teachers over these years. She has published a number of textbooks and monographs, and the specialists she trained are today working at prestigious higher education institutions around the world.
When a lyceum-boarding school was opened under the Samarkand Cooperative Institute in 1995, M. Maxmudova worked there first on a part-time basis, and since 2014 on a full-time basis, successfully serving as a German language teacher at this institution. During her work at the academic lyceum, she demonstrated in every respect that she is a skilled pedagogue, a devoted mentor to her students, an expert in her field, and a demanding teacher. In the course of her career, she has completed professional development courses in the Federal Republic of Germany four times.
As someone devoted to her profession, M. Maxmudova has been a leader not only in the pedagogical process but also in other public activities. In particular, she volunteered and served as a leader in student construction brigades in several regions of Russia; she has worked tirelessly in the institute's spiritual and educational events, especially in preparing students for various sports competitions; and she herself played basketball, took part in a number of competitions, achieved the level of Master of Sport in basketball, and for many years coached the institute's basketball team.
In addition, M. Maxmudova has contributed to improving the quality of German language teaching at the academic lyceum and introducing advanced modern teaching methods, studying and popularizing advanced pedagogical experience, closely assisting the work of the foreign languages department, working purposefully with gifted students and preparing them for various contests, subject olympiads and competitions, and increasing the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work. In recent years, the teacher's services have been invaluable in enabling a total of six students of the academic lyceum to win honorable places at the national stage of subject olympiads.
Muxabbat Maxmudova is the author of numerous scientific-methodological manuals and recommendations, acting as an initiator in applying pedagogical technologies that meet the demands of the times to the teaching and educational process. Students and pupils make wide use of her study and methodological manuals, including "The Importance of Advanced Pedagogical Technologies in Developing Students' Oral Speech," "A Collection of Grammar Exercises for Preparing Students for Higher Education Institutions," and "Working with Texts in Learning German."
The entire staff respects her because she is always demanding and disciplined at work, modest, sympathetic to the troubles of others, and an exceptionally humble person.
